So summer is officially over for me and I am super sad. I thought I would finish off summer with one of my favorite outfits this summer! I loved the trend of overalls and I've also been loving tying things around my waist. These saltwater sandals have definitely been a summer staple for me this year, I have them in a few colors and I love my yellow the most, I feel like they are less common and they are just super fun and super summery. 

I hope all of you who have started school have had a good first couple of days. Here's to a good school year!

July Favorites// & a little update

Holy cow guys this month literally flew by!! Its August guys let that sink in, which also means school is SUPER soon! Summer is quickly drawing to an end and I thought I would share with you guys some of my favorites from this month. (:

GEL nails

This month I have been really into gel nails and bright fun colors! A few years ago my mom purchased a light that's needed for gel nails and I always use and I absolutely love it and get so much use out of it. Sodalicious

If you haven't been to Sodalicious I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing because I'm truly addicted!! It truly is so good, Sodalicious offers a ton of different sodas and they have the most delicious treats including there crispies they are so dang good! You all need to try Sodalicious it will change your life! Make sure to get a Castaway extra dirty or a Your mom extra dirty. (The names really just make me laugh)

VSCOcam

I've been using VSCOcam a lot lately to edit photos taken on my iphone and I've really liked it. The app is very easy to use I really love all the filters and the features that the app includes! This is a free app which is also a plus. (:

This month has been super crazy for me so I haven't been posting (at all). I just barely got done with moving which has been a nightmare I've forgotten how hard it is... But I am mostly settled in my new house ans I can't wait to be back in a routine and start blogging again!! You guys don't even know how much I've missed it! I also found my camera as we were packing and I was SOO HAPPY! (plus of moving, finding things you thought were forever lost) (my lost camera is another reason I haven't been posting)

Red White and Blue/// Stars and Stripes

As we all know the Fourth of July is coming up really quick, so I decided to share with you two Fourth of July outfit Ideas.

The first outfit is a little bit less casual and is not so in your face Fourth of July. 

I paired this simple white dress with some cobalt blue strappy sandals, for jewelery I  went with a super cute gold anchor ring and some fun statement earrings. I really love this look and I think it would be super fun for a Fourth of July barbecue or picnic.

Look number two is very casual and very Fourth of July inspired, it is also very similar to the outfit I will be wearing this year for the Fourth of July. (;

I went with a very patriotic shirt from Hello Apparel, I love how this shirt isn't an american flag but it is still very patriotic and fun. For bottoms I went with some simple medium wash shorts with a little bit of distressing. To finish off the look I chose white high top Converse. This look is an all together perfect look for all day festivities.

2013 The Year Of...

This year was honestly a pretty great year for me. In 2013 I started my blog and truly found my love for fashion. (and shopping) 2013 had some awesome fashion trends that I truly loved. There were also some that weren't my favorite.

In this post I'm going to show you a few things that really defined the year 2013 for me.

1. The color of the year this year was Emerald and I was really in love. I have several emerald pieces in my closet that I was just crushing over the past year. Emerald is a trend I will be taking with me into 2014

Here are a few emerald pieces.

2. This year was really the year of my converse high tops. They really were a statement piece in my closet from the beginning of the year until the end of the year.

A few of the high top colors i'm loving. The most worn color for me was my basic white.

3. This year was full of black leather for my wardrobe. I really think black leather is such a statement piece that is very versatile.

This year black leather was worn in so many pieces.

4. This year I found myself curling my hair a lot. After many tries I found what way works for the loose wave like curls I love. These style of curls became very popular through the year I feel.

5. This year I became in love with the Naked palettes all together by Urban Decay but my favorite most used was definitely the original Naked palette.

6. Bold eyebrows was something I loved in 2013. Eyebrows frame your face and it is very important to fill them in and make sure they are shaped correctly. In 2013 I really loved doing my eyebrows and I am carrying my bold eyebrows into 2014 with me.

7. In 2013 I fell in love with Pinterest again. I was always pinning things I loved and things that inspired me. If you are not following me on Pinterest make sure you go and follow me. 

This is my Pinterest, I would say I have quite a few pins.

8. Utility Jacket. The utility jacket was definitely a huge trend. I know it was more towards the end of the year but I couldn't not include it this post.

I really love all three of these styles.

I know that was a really random number to stop on.
