quick and easy Fall Hairstyle #1

#1 Start with your natural hair or hair with a little bit of texture, Divide in half horizontally

#2 Tie of the top section loosely with a clear elastic (this step is optional but it makes it a lot easier)

#3 Divide your little ponytail you created in half

#4 Begin to fishtail braid your hair when you are finished tie it off with a little clear elastic or one that matches your hair color (great video tutorial on how to fishtail braid here)

#5 You can now take out the little elastic that you put in at the top of your ponytail you can either take it out like a regular hair tie or you can cut it. (optional)

#6 Now for my favorite part, I absolutely hate flat and little braids so I then pull on both sides of the braid to loosen it up a bit and make it look bigger and more full

#7 You're Done!

I hope you enjoy this super simple hair style that is just oh so perfect for fall. This is the first hair tutorial in these collection of posts, stay tuned for three, four, and five.

Back to School for everyone// Feat. McEwan & Sophie

Today I'm going to be bringing you such a fun post just in time for back to school. There is two outfits for Elementary School (for girls), one outfit For Jr. High (for boys), and two outfits for High school and Jr. High (for girls). These outfits can totally be worn for any age but these are just the grades we are in. (:

Sophie back to school outfit #1 edgy and funky

This outfit is perfect for the younger girls who can totally pull off all this sparkle :) I'm loving the fun pattern mixing with the cheetah pants and the fun striped top. When mixing patterns for a more cohesive look try to choose prints that have similar colors.

Sophie back to school outfit #2 Girly and Glitter

This outfit is super girly and oh so fun! I love this cute owl on this sweater with the cutest sequined nerd glasses :') This cheetah skirt is perfect for elementary students at recess because it has built in shorts. How convenient? (;

McEwan back to school outfit

This outfit is not to casual and not to dressed up. I love the tan pants he's wearing paired with this super basic baseball tee with the fun patterned pocket.

Annie back to school outfit #1 Girly

This outfit is honestly just so fun I'm really in love with it! I love the mix of all the fun patterns. I love the polka dot dress paired with the striped over sized cardigan. To change up the look of a fun dress just add a cute tank or graphic tee to instantly switch up the look.

Annie back to school outfit #2 Sophisticated Chic

This look so perfect for school and pack to school time! This outfit is very chic and sophisticated and such a gorgeous look. This sweater is perfect for the beginning of school when it's still kind of warm, because of the 3/4 sleeve and the open knit. These are such high quality jeans and I love them because I know they aren't gonna fade or rip.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful for your back to school fashion. Me and Sophie start school on Tuesday the 19th and McEwan starts Monday the 18th (7th grade day)

Also if you noticed the pictures are higher quality I finally found my camera!
More back to school posts will be up soon. (:

Portland Day 1...

Top Jcpenny (kids section) Pants Jcrew Boots Hunter (kids section)

This week we took an unexpected trip to Washington to visit my grandparents. Our first day here we went to Multnomah Falls and hiked the super tall water fall. This was an unexpected hike so I wasn't dressed in the best attire for a hike but it wasn't to bad.
These pants are an essential in any suitcase when traveling they are super comfortable and can be worn with anything. These pants paired with this adorable top makes the outfit a little more casual. It had been raining hard on the way to the hike and after we got done so I took this as an opportunity to wear my favorite rain boots.

Here are a few pictures from the hike that I loved hope you enjoy.

Found this super cool cave along the trail.

Nixen was a trooper and went the entire hike without stopping once.

We finally made it to the top of the waterfall. The background looks a little fake in this picture.

Fall.

Fall is basically here and it is definitely my favorite time of year and season. Today I'm gonna be sharing a few simple ways to get in the fall mood and help you embrace the season.

First way is with your nail color. I am a total sucker for fall nail polishes and this is one of my favorite shades this season. I love the emerald green with the gold glitter contrast. For fall my favorite nail colors are maroon or oxblood colors, dark greens, plums, I also love brown mauvey colors. Fall just has so many different color options for your nails. Switching out your nail color from your bright summer pink to any of darker fall color will instantly put you in a fall mood.

A huge reason I love fall so much might be because of the fashion. This outfit is basically fall in an outfit. Fall fashion really is layering. This outfit pairs a perfect basic plaid button up with a classy polka dot sweater which I adore, these pants are a fall staple, you can never go wrong with oxblood skinnies for fall, paired with tall riding boots. This outfit is definitely a fall staple outfit. Adding just one of these items to your outfit will definitely add a little bit of fall.

With fall comes some delicious treats. Warm drinks always make me feel falley (is that even a word?) This drink from Starbucks is absolutely delicious but we cant always run out to Starbucks to get it. I found a super similar recipe here. I hope you try out this recipe and enjoy it through out this fall season.

Simply changing up you lip color as like your nail color can instantly make you look fall approved. Julia of Gal Meets Glam shares her favorite maroon lip colors a staple fall lip color. I for sure will be trying out some of her recommendations.

I feel like fall candles just make a room feel even more cozy. Fall scents I love are Pumpkin Carmel Latte Mmm, Sweater Weather, Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, and Pumpkin Cupcake. You can find some fabulous fall candles at Bath and Body Works.
